Changing leaves, pumpkins, apple cider, Halloween…do we need to continue? All can be found on Staten Island this fall season!

Spooktacular at the Staten Island Zoo, October 14th from 5p.m.-8:30p.m. (Saturday is already sold out!) Trick or Treat Zones, Free Carousel Rides, Halloween Town for the youngest goblins, and Monster Alley for the bravest ghouls. Live performances, a costume contest and more!

Halloween Harbor @ Snug Harbor, October 27th from 11a.m.-5p.m.

Get your fill of trick-or-treating, spooky movies, arts & crafts, mad science, and a costume contest at this year’s Halloween Harbor! Tickets allow access to all activities, museums, and attractions for the entire day.

Pumpkin Festival at the Carousel for All Children, 12-4p.m., Family friendly activities ranging from “I FISH NY” – fishing lessons to a nature-inspired craft led by the Greenbelt’s environmental educators, face painting and a visit from Quiver Farms Petting Zoo between the hours of 1 & 3 pm (subject to change). Pumpkins are for sale and are first-come, first-serve.

Pumpkin Picking at Historic Richmond Town’s Decker Farm begins October 6th and runs every Saturday and Sunday through October!

Harvest season at Decker Farm is fun for the entire family! Pick a pumpkin to take home, enjoy an old-fashioned hay ride, corn maze, arts and crafts, and face painting! This picturesque historic site will be open to the public weekends in October, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Come enjoy the season with us, and discover your inner farmer! Admission $6 per person or $20 for a family of four.

Fall Fest @ The Mount, October 20th-21st from 12p.m.-6p.m. The event will feature the island’s largest pumpkin patch, rides, games, music, food, scare crow making, vendors and more! Admission to this event is FREE and parking is a $5 donation per car.

Wicked Westerleigh Gathering @ Westerleigh Park, October 27th from 11a.m.-2p.m.

Costumes, candy, music, games, activities, crafts and more. Costume parade and contest, Family Mummy Wrap contest and musical performance by Jasmin!

Family Halloween Activities at the Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art, October 27th and 28th from 1p.m.-4p.m.

Fall Foliage Tours @ Snug Harbor, November 1st (1p.m.) and November 3rd (11a.m.)

Tour Snug Harbor when the autumn colors are at their most beautiful.  The Fall Foliage Tour begins at the Visitor Information Booth on Chapel Road, continuing through the Pond Garden and ending in the New York Chinese Scholar’s Garden.  The tour is rain or shine.

Ghost Tours on Staten Island!

“Snug Harbor Ghost Tour: The Tale of the Matron”

The Tale of the Matron is a historically horrifying reenactment of events that took place at Sailors’ Snug Harbor in 1863. Guided by visuals, evocative scents, and startling vignettes, your 75-minute tour will take place both indoors and out, and enters three buildings that are typically closed to the public: the Matron’s House, the Butcher’s Cottage, and the former Surgeon’s House (now known as the Governor’s House). Each space has its own unique connection with history, life, and the afterlife.

Paranormal Investigations at Historic Richmond Town

September 29, October 5th and 18th, November 9th and 17th

Coming this fall, Historic Richmond Town will launch a series of paranormal investigations and you’re invited to experience the phenomena! Learn the real stories of those who lived in died in century old homes, hear documented encounters and learn the equipment and theories behind investigating the unknown.
